|“What really does work to increase the feeling of having a home and its comforts is housekeeping. Housekeeping creates cleanliness, order, regularity, beauty, the conditions for health and safety, and a good place to do and feel all the things you wish and need to do and feel in your home. Whether you live alone or with a spouse, parents, and ten children, it is your housekeeping that makes your home alive, that turns it into a small society in its own right, a vital place with its own ways and rhythms, the place where you can be more yourself than you can be anywhere else.” |

How true ― a clean and orderly home creates an environment of peace and calm ― a place where we can be ourselves. In fact it is the only place we can be ourselves and that is why HOME is so important to us all. Dusting, vacuum cleaning, washing the clothes, doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, making beds may not be glamorous activities, but in reality, these things don't take very long (if done regularly) but the enjoyment for the entire family ― a clean home ― makes it all worthwhile.
I enjoy doing housework, ironing, washing, cooking, dishwashing. Whenever I get one of those questionnaires and they ask what is your profession, I always put down housewife. It's an admirable profession, why apologise for it. Your aren't stupid because you're a housewife. When you're stirring the jam you can read Shakespeare"
― Quote by Tash Tudor
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
